As part of the commemoration of the slave trade, slavery and its abolition, the Festival des 3 Continents, Mémoire de l’Outre-mer and Le Cinématographe have joined forces to offer a screening of short films. Two films are scheduled, examining the traces of French colonization in French Guiana and Reunion Island through the subject of surnames assigned by French registrars after the abolition of slavery.
