The call for films of the Official Selection of the 46th edition of the Festival des 3 Continents is now open.
The festival will take place in Nantes, France, from November 15 to 23, 2024.
The festival offers feature films from Africa, Latin America and Asia. It screens both fiction and documentary films.
Submissions to the Official Selection are open until July 31st 2024.
Accepted films must be:
- completed after November 1st 2023;
- made by directors who originate from or are nationals of a country from Africa, Latin and Indigenous America, Black America or Asia;
- at least 45 minutes in length;
- have the French premiere available (this applies to the International Competition)
The festival is focused on the discovery of filmmakers and promotion of recently completed films through its Official Selection – usually composed by an International Competition and Special Screenings. The parallel programs are dedicated both to contemporary cinema and the rediscovery of film heritage (through historical retrospectives), reflecting different points of view from or towards the three mentioned continents.
