The 45th edition of the Festival des 3 Continents marks the handover from Guillaume Descamps, the festival’s current General Secretary, to Camille Vandenbunder, who takes up her post in mid-November.
With over twenty years’ experience in the cultural sector, Guillaume Descamps joined the festival in 2020 at the height of the pandemic.
Camille Vandenbunder is a cultural and audiovisual producer from Lille. After initial training in Theatre and Performing Arts, she completed a Masters in Cultural Project Management and Design at the University of Paris III – La Sorbonne Nouvelle.
From 2010 to 2022, Camille will be based on the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. As part of her role as cultural manager at the Alliance Française, she created and developed the Puerto Rico European Film Festival, for which she was director and programmer from 2011 to 2018. She then specialised in audiovisual production, working on series and film projects from the United States filming on the island, as well as the development and international co-production of Puerto Rican independent fiction projects.
“After years of following the Festival des 3 Continents from the other side of the Atlantic, I’m delighted to be joining this project, which celebrates and promotes, among other things, the constant dialogue between the world’s cultures,” explains Camille Vandenbunder. I feel honoured to be part of this cinema adventure, which began 45 years ago”.
The all volunteer and salaried team would like to warmly thank Guillaume Descamps for his commitment, his enthusiasm and all the work he has accomplished over the last three years, and welcome Camille Vandendunder to join the Festival des 3 Continents!
