FROM NANTES TO PARIS: RERUN OF THE 3 CONTINENTS FESTIVAL AWARDS REPLAY AT L’ARLEQUIN (PARIS 6e)
From 23 to 26 January 2025, L’Arlequin cinema in Paris will be hosting the films in the Palmarès of the 46th edition of the Festival des 3 Continents for the third year running.
The Festival des 3 Continents was held in Nantes and the Loire Atlantique region from 15 to 23 November.
Since it was founded in 1979, the Festival des 3 Continents has built up an international reputation and established itself as a pillar of French cinephilia. Each year, the festival takes the pulse of contemporary cinematographic creation through the revelation of essential works and filmmakers from Africa, Latin America and Asia.
L’Arlequin is once again inviting Parisian audiences to discover the award-winning films in the International Competition, which offer a wide variety of cinematic gestures and often intimate stories.
The International Competition was made up of French and world premiere films judged by a professional jury, who awarded Nantes the Montgolfière d’Or, the Montgolfière d’Argent and a special mention. Two other prizes, the Audience Award and the Young Jury Award, completed the 2024 Festival’s Awards.
Films in the programme: Hanami by Cape Verde-born Portuguese director Denise Fernandes, Super Happy Forever by Japanese director Kohei Igarashi, The Return of the Projectionist by Azerbaijani director Orkhan Aghazadeh and Manas by Brazilian director Marianna Brennand.
