This week sees the theatrical release of the 4K restored version distributed by Capricci of Glauber Rocha’s film Black God, White Devil. The Festival des 3 Continents devoted a complete retrospective to the Brazilian director at its 22nd edition in 2000.
Finalised in 1964, the film was shown at the Cannes Festival that same year, and its restored version has been selected for competition at Cannes Classics in 2022.
