Born in Lisbon, Aisha Rahim is a programmer and critic. With a degree in journalism and communication sciences, her career path led her to focus on cinema and art.
In 2008, she joined the Lusa press agency and began writing for the weekly newspaper Sol, and then as head of film criticism for four years until 2015. At that time, the newspaper was published in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique.
In 2014, she assisted the filmmaker Rui Simões, training in different areas of activity including the development of documentary projects, distribution in the alternative circuit and coordination in communication. In 2015, she contributed to the IndieLisboa festival and the International Documentary Film Seminar Doc’s Kingdom.
In 2016, she participated in the first Lusophone edition of the Berlinale Talent Press, in Rio de Janeiro, and joined the programming team of the Festival des 3 Continents.
