A Short Love Affair

Pae Il-do shares an apartment with a girl he met in a bar. He finds a job in a skirt factory where he meets Kong-reh, who is his partner at work. He finds her an attractive, educated young woman and tries to get to know her. It turns out that Kong-reh is a married woman with a son. Pae is overwhelmed by her gentleness and warmth, while Kong-reh finds security in Pae’s naivete. On Pae’s first pay day, they take a night train and a secret, passionate love affair begins during the night they spend at an inn in the suburbs. Their love for each other grows increasingly serious and the girl who shares Pae’s life becomes furious.
