Rabii (“spring”), a young drag dancer, is taken on by Kacem, a long-time fairground entertainer who owns a lottery stall and travels from one drought-stricken village to the other in southern Morocco. Three lives are temporarily linked : Rabii dreams of a better life somewhere else ; Kacem, who is ill, tries to escape from a dark past he cannot forget ; his only son, Larbi, is a former boxer and convict, a violent and mythomaniac man who will end up on his own…
A bittersweet tribute to the last Moroccan fairground entertainers whose predicament is made even worse by the drought.
