Macy (Sandra Ng), a lawyer, has a chance meeting with her old friend Anita (Vivian Chow) during a counselling session for pregnant women. Both in their forties and bisexual, they are respectively getting ready to give birth to their first child and know each other from a previous liaison. A politics of gender, intimate relationships between women and maternity, Ann Hui pursues her X-raying of ages and customs, changing her tone once more by making All About Love a comedy about the upper middle class.
