In a post-apocalyptic 21st century, the Gui Dao sect rules over continental Asia. The dissidents Zhuai and his brother, Mian, are deported to Camp Prosperity for re-education. They discover that life there is more than just propaganda. When the sect falls from power, Zhuai and Mian are released but their life will never be the same. Zhuai moves in with Xuelan and her child. Somewhat disoriented, they rediscover the forgotten pleasures of everyday life.
