The two orphans, White and Black, spread terror through the streets of Takara, or “Treasure Town”. Extorting money from bandits, yakuzas and religious fanatics, the two youngsters, nicknamed “the cats” on account of their agility, are quite different. Black seems tough and enraged, while White is innocent and lives in a dreamlike world. Everything takes a different turn the day a powerful yazuka decides to eliminate them and shape the town in his own image.
