Much like the old bush taxis, the colourful “Express buses” transport people from all walks of life as well as all kinds of goods… Packed to the brim, passengers grow restless, snap at each other, haggle over prices and are generally badly treated by the all-powerful driver’s assistant, who rules over his tiny world with an iron fist. The journey is filled with different noises, outbursts and crises, implicitly depicting city life in Dakar.
