This is 1993 in the Gaza strip, one of the occupied Palestinian territories. For the last ten years, there has been constant trouble in this area stuck between the desert and the Mediterranean Sea where thousands of Palestinian families are crammed in often disgraceful conditions. It is not surprising therefore that the local population would have risen up here before the Intifada started. On an esplanade lined with low houses, children play soccer. After the postman has delivered letters from Egypt, Jordan and Europe, a loudspeaker on an Israeli army jeep announces a curfew without any explanation. The streets are deserted, the iron curtains lowered, children go home. We follow one of them called Radar. We will live twenty-four hours of his life with his family locked in their own house. This story behind closed doors will reveal the daily life and the feelings of a population who wants to live differently, like people with a right to happiness…
