Marcos Gonzales, a bohemian and impulsive young man is accused of a crime he didn’t commit. He decides to leave Mexico City and hide with his uncle Ramon – a man he hasn’t seen in years – in the small town of Muerdago, until the confusion is cleared up. Ramon, the richest man in the region, is childless and sick. Marco’s arrival is a pleasant surprise. However, Ramon’s local family has been waiting for the inheritance and is not pleased to see Marcos. Marcos’ light and vital attitude – and the lies he has to tell -, collide with the rigide social structure, the falseness and the boring lives of the family members.
