Cesare is a forty-year-old photographer who devotes ail lois energies to the conquest of women. Israël, a man in his thirties, lives a rather withdrawn life. He dreams of learning to play the organ but does nothing to achieve this aim. Goldman is a little older and dreams of a great love which would give meaning to his life. In the meantime, he lives in his parents’ flat and leads the humdrum life of a lawyer. Their lives are self-enclosed and emotionally sterile but they all feel an intense nostalgia for their city. A city where the haimsin, a wind bringing madness, pushes people into either depression of frantic hedonism.
