This film is about the «Dhrupad Raag». In its existing form, dhrupad can be traced back to a thousand years of living traditions. Its origin, however, can be linked with the emergence of the very first classical forms, following the break-up in tribal culture and the consequent development of folk music in early villages and of classical music in cities and states.
