Muraki has just been released from prison after a three-year sentence. Shinko, his former lover, does not fulfill him any longer. One day in a gambling house, his attention is drawn to a young woman. He likes Saeko’s boldness in gambling. Together they go from one gambling house to the other. But a man called Yo, a drug trafficker and a gangster, is keen on seducing Saeko…
Based on a novel by Shintaro Ishihara this is one of the best Shinoda films made during the Shochiku new wave.
