Mister M is a young man whose modern apartment is dominated by a full-scale reproduction of Boticcelli’s The Birth of Venus, which symbolises, perhaps, the spiritual love he seeks in vain. Unable to communicate with other people by normal means, he becomes a voyeur and spends his time photographing his neighbours. One day, a young lady moves into an apartment on the other side of the yard. He spies on her day and night.
