Lobo and Skid are buddies and classmates and often play in the same band and skateboard together with a few classmates. Fion chats with strangers on the phone everyday in the hope of meeting her true love. Fion befriends Pat, a girl who saw her argue with her boyfriend on the street. Lobo helps Skid to win Pat’s affection but realizes that he too has fallen for her.
In this true teen-movie (friendship, jealousy, flirting, joy, indecision), Lawrence Ah-Mon weaves his way through his characters, flirting with the genre’s clichés. But he allows a more delicate authenticity to peep through when a new language takes shape… the language of love.
