A Chinese Ghost Story II
(Sien lui yau wan II: Yan gaan dou)

by CHING Siu-tung

Thousands of years ago, when the royal court of China was under the evil influence of sorcerers, loyal ministers and innocent people were killed or thrown in jail. On the eve of his execution, Ning escapes from prison and meets a young monk named Autumn with whom he shares the night in a haunted house. They are attacked by six “ghosts”, two of whom turn out to be sisters, Windy and Moon, trying to save their father, Minister Fu, from being unjustly executed.
Ning and Autumn stay to help the girls. Their activities inadvertently awaken a ten-foot man-eating monster. Minister Fu shows up in chains, escorted by General Jor, who helps them to blow up the monster. As a honorable man, Jor tries to get Fu pardoned by the High Priest, who turns out, in fact, to be the devil incarnate.
Ning and Windy manage to take refuge in the Orchid Monastery but, for the others, it is too late. The Fligh Priest, transformed into a hundred-foot-long centipede, captures Autumn’s soul and kills General Jor. Fu and Moon are now in grave danger, but, just in the nick. of time, a fierce battle breaks out between the forces of good and evil.
