Abandoned in Patagonia, Valdivia divides his days between small jobs as an animal thief and a vanishing love affair with a swimming instructor he met while trying to steal her car. The girl looks humble but also works as a hostess in a bar at night. Their relationship fails. Disappointed by this frustrated love, Valdivia begins to travel south as if trying to reach the end of the world. In the solitude of uninhabited plains, he tries to do an unusual job, encouraged by an anonymous employer who instructs him over the phone. His search turns into an absurd venture…
