On 30 August 1973 in Algiers, the poet Jean Sénac was murdered. Yet his voice is getting louder every day. Moving and upsetting testimonies from people who knew him, archival footage never seen before, the generous voice of the poet on the radio, the discovery of his journeys through poetry and politics document this film about the life of a righteous man and the country where he was born, “Mother Algeria, sweet to his lips” as he used to say to celebrate it.
