Rami, a twelve-year-old boy is forced to leave his war-torn village in South Lebanon. In Beirut, he finds a job in a café run by a warm-hearted widow.
When the civil war breaks out, Rami’s musician friend is murdered and his best friend Yasmine, is forced to leave the neighbourhood.
Twelve years later, Rami and his father are kidnapped near the frontline dividing Beirut. He escapes and joins the militia where he meets Siham, a woman determined to find her missing husband…
