Several nights before the handover of Hong Kong to China, 48-year-old Royal HK Police detective Sonny is driving his cousin Wai, a former sergeant detective turned rich businessman, to the Kai Tak airport. Various youthful, painful memories and emotional scenes come back to Sonny’s mind. After Wai’s departure, Sonny encounters a fatal robbery…Using the handover as a background, this film illustrates the psychological contradictions of the Hong Kong people. It contains previously unreleased footage showing the HK police suppressing Communist riots in 1967.
