Three hundred years after the Flood, three clans are tearing each other apart: Jacob the breeder and his sons, the nomadic hunters led by Esau and the settled far- mers and their chief Hamor. Esau the nomadic hunter harbours a mortal hatred for Jacob, his younger brother, since he usurped Esau’s natural primogeniture. Cloistered in his camp, Jacob mourns the supposed death of his son Joseph. Hamor’s son, Sichem, kidnaps Dina, Jacob’s daughter…
