The Night Falls

Marcos, a presumptuous pelota player, cheats on Lucrecia, his mistress and cabaret singer, with rich Saia and spurns the love of millionaire Rebecca whom he convinces to have an abortion. Rebecca’s brother, Armando, owes Martial a big gambling debt from betting on pelota games. Marcos finds Sara again whom he had left in Manilla. He promises to go to Havana with her although he promised to marry Rebecca. A desperate Rebecca is saved from throwing herself under a train by ber brother. With the help of his sidekicks, Martial takes revenge on Marcos and makes him sign a cheque, but he gets arrested by the police. Marcos obtains money from Sara to pay his debt back. As she tries to protect her jewels, Sara gets killed. Marcos manages to get on a plane thanks to Li Chan. But he doesn’t know that Rebecca is on board waiting for him. She kills him while he is sleeping.
