Iran,1970. Emkan, a young boy who has grown up in an extremely conservative family, falls in love with Maassoum, the daughter of the cinema house manager in the tiny city of Saveh. Opposed by his parents, the religous authorities and the whole community, he decides to dedicate his life to cinema. Following the Khomeinist revolution the cinema is forced to close and Maassoum has to leave. Emkan decides to find her.
