January 1964, Iwao Enokizu is arrested : he has committed two gruesome murders, after a series of others while on the run for several weeks. As a child in 1938, he had seen his Catholic father being forced to sell his fishing boats to an officer in the regular army. Disgusted by his father’s cowardice, he has tried to hit the officer and spent the war in a reform school. In 1946, Iwao met a young woman who became a Catholic to marry him and gave him two children. Some ten years later, the father and his daughter-in-law find themselves sexually attracted to each other…
