Intimacy and repetition. Between these two conceptual axes, this beautiful in-camera film unfolds with predominantly fixed general shots to follow the instances of the recomposition of an amorous relationship between two young women aged 22 and 24. The repeated lateral tracking shots accompanying the character, played by Fiorella Aita, on her way to the factory constitute the only camera movement, as Perrone chooses stillness to film work and affective experiences, two aspects of life conditioned by reiteration. Even when there is a sequence of gender violence conceived precisely as an off-screen action, the film lacks sordidness. Tenderness is the predominant tone. RK
