A housewife feeling desperate because of a mediocre life, a failed marriage and her inability to be a proper mother, Emilia feels trapped in the vacuum of her existence. On the cursed day her lover leaves her, her credit card gets blocked. In her sad and empty flat, she makes a decision she has been contemplating for a long time – killing herself. Las Razones del corazón is loosely based on Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary.
