Tahar is a retired blacksmith. He lives with his son from his first marriage. After seeing his late second wife in a dream, he decides to leave home and visit her grave, in Azemmour. The bus he travels on breaks down. He meets Driss, a man in his thirties. Driss is going to Essaouira, looking for his mother whom he has never known. He has just received a letter about her. The two men go to Marrakech together where Driss gets a combination motorbike back. Tahar calls the vehicle a “wind horse”. They travel together, first to Azemmour, then to Essaouira, looking for the their past.
