The story takes place at the beginning of the 19th century and traces the exploits of Manuel Rodriguez, the most popular Chilian hero during Chili’s struggle for independence from Spain.
Rodriguez was a cultivated, audacious man who frequented widely different social milieus, while making an important contribution to the organisation of the rebel troupes.
