In the countryside around Aima Ata, a young girl leaves Timur’s house as their love story has corne to an end. But Elya lives in the house next door and the two young people are bound to meet. When their lips touch for the first time, it’s in the shed where Timur breeds doves and pigeons. After they get married, love brings them a new source of joy: Elya is pregnant. But she dies while giving birth. Following the tragedy, one night in Aima Ata Timur finds himself in the middle of a brawl during which he kills a man by accident. Imprisoned for murder, he somehow manages to escape. But his flight is a flight into madness. He goes back. to his doves’ shed. Now insane, he is obsessed with ringing the bell in the sunny countryside…
