A young journalist seduces a young provincial girl through his writing. They write to each other until she goes to Buenos Aires to meet him. Gradually she loses her romance feelings and becomes selfish and a manipulator. Her boyfriend discovers she has lovers but forgives her. However she keeps behaving the same way. After having written a successful play, the young man dies.
