The two Nilsen brothers, Christiano and Eduardo, live in Uruguaiana in the province of Rio Grande do Sul. Their Nordic origins cut them off from the rest of the population: they live as loners, united by their solid friendship. This friendship is about to be destroyed by the arrival of a woman, Juliana, whom Christiano brings along.
Little by little, she becomes the property of the two brothers. But the situation is untenable, and they sell Juliana to a brothel. Too tempted, they buy her back and try to resume their lives with her, but a terrible, almost biblical end comes to the lonely world of the Nilsen brothers.
