After she had an accident, a postman’s wife is left paralysed. She goes through a psychological regression which leads her to be obsessed with opening the mail her husband is about to deliver and interfering with the lives of the people who wrote the letters. She makes their lives her own, they become her only subject for conversation and her reason to live.
