A bank clerk steals double the amount he is to be paid until retirement, entrusts the spoils to a colleague and peacefully goes off to serve his prison sentence… whilst waiting to get back to his loot and share it with its receiver. “Follow the money”, the saying goes: here, in a beautiful composition made of reflections and convergences, the stash leads us to unexpected skies, just as these delinquents’ parallel journeys throw them into the arms of the same fleeting brunette, who is the key to freedom. The somewhat outdated tones of this satire of work are also a fanciful way of letting out L’An 01’s watchword anew: “let’s stop everything, and think”. AR
