Déjanira dozes in a comfortable chair on the “Maine-Océan ” Express, between Nantes and Angers. Two conductors obstinately try to maker her understand in French and English, that she bas committed three different offences, but in vain. Déjanira is Brazilian and doesn’t understand a word. A lawyer takes Déjarina under her wing and suggests that she gets off in Angers where she must defend a Yeu Island fisherman, Marcel Petitgas. The case is pleaded and lost, which Petitgas finds difficult to accept.
