Caine is a pure product of Watts, ghetto in Los Angeles. At an early age he lost his father, who was killed in a shady drug deal, and his mother, who died from an overdose. Brought up by his pious grandparents, Caine is searching for his own path in an often brutal and unpredictable environment. On entering a Korean store to buy a beer, he finds himself implicated in a murder and armed hold-up. For him and his friend O’Dog, the summer takes a sharp downward turn…
