After having lived in Chicago for twenty years, Pura arrives unannounced at her father’s house in the Philippines. She is surprised at the state of dilapidation of their ancestral home. Her once haughty half-sister Emilia, whose family is occupying the house, is now a beer-swilling piano teacher. Their father is bedridden. Pura’s visit only opens up old family wounds and tension keeps growing between the two sisters. The conflict comes to a head when the father dies. But the day after the funeral, they both admit they were in the wrong. Pura leaves the place saying the house belongs to Emilia…
