Jeremias, a young alpaca herder, lives high in the Peruvian Andes. Based on a strange find, the community’s sorcerer predicts the destruction of the village. They can save themselves “neither with God nor with the Devil”. With the arrival of a column of the terrorist group “Shining Path”, this omen becomes a reality. Jeremias becomes involved under their pressure. After their withdrawal, the army arrives and Jeremias is accused and prosecuted. He is forced to flee. Since he doesn’t know the world, Lima, the Peruvian megalopolis, seems the only place to hide. But getting to Lima isn’t easy. First, he has to work hard in a mine. Once he’s in the big city, he’ll have to keep on running, as the “senderist” brand follows him, and learn, driven by the force of events, to survive in the “civilized” world. Victoria, a young woman with a sweet face but a strange life, will lead him, despite her love for him, on a journey Jeremias could never have imagined.
