Some years after independence and during four decades the Moroccan authoritiesresorted to torture and forced disappearances. Opposition groups as well as ordinary citizens were systematically abducted and detained in secret centers. During these twenty years, no one could see, no one could hear but everybody knew. The film focuses on a precise moment Moroccan history, this singular catharsis, critical phase, which witnessed the creation of “a commission for truth and reconciliation” created to hear the testimonies of the victims. Beyond an examination of disappearances in Morocco, the film follows the story of various personal destinies.
