Sukezo Sukewaga was once famous as a comic book writer, but because he didn’t keep up with the times, things went wrong for him. He became a collector of stones, which he sells in his new store, a hut he built along the Tama River. He read in a trade magazine that an auction for stone lovers was to take place soon. He decides to go with his family to look for valuable stones. Suzeko’s little boy finds a strange stone, decorated with beautiful striations similar to two waterfalls. Back in Tokyo, Suzeko discovers that the stone is priceless. The auction begins…
