However different they may be, Om Dar-B-Dar and Hun Hunshi Hunshilal, made four years later, are linked together in a mysterious (they are anomalies) and stimulating way, both are post-modern fables. Yet, in expressing their disenchantment with the world, they restore the place of imagination, which becomes the prerequisite for reviving critical reflection. In an absurd and syncretic dance down to the text of the songs, blending mythology, a children’s fairy tale, science, religion, surrealism, documentary and humour, Om Dar-B-Dar gives us the impression of seeing India transformed into a film.
