During a hike in the mountains, a unusual love relationship developes between two women. Sokono is the wife of a well-known lawyer. Mitsuko is unmarried, but bas a relationship with a man. When Sokono finds out that Mitsuko has a lover, she wants to break off. But soon after, Mitsuko’s lover, Watanuki, finds out about the relationship between the two women. In order to keep Mitsuko, be accepts the «ménage à trois». Sokono tries to separate Mitsuko from Watanuki, who resists. The two women decide to fake a suicide. When Sokono’s husband, Kotaro learns about their fake suicide, he understands what kind of relationship they have. At this point, Kotaro
fails for Mitsuko and a new triangle is born. Watanuki creates a public scandal and Kotaro, Mitsuko, and Sokono decide to commit suicide. They swallow a large quantity of barbiturates. The next day, Kotaro is still alive, but the two women are dead.
