At the beginning of an uncommonly chilly June, in the late 1970s, the Ohayons gather in the family home to try and restore peace between Vivian and Eliyahoo. After another series of fights and squabbles, Vivian’s seven brothers try once again to mediate between the husband and his wife, whose only common denominator is their similar cultural background (oriental, conservative), and their four children. During the three days of preparation for the Shabbat, who will the winner be in this hopeless battle that’s creating a living hell for everyone involved? Tradition? Love? Fear ? Or will it be the heritage of a culture that’s slowly being replaced by progress, but still proving to be the strongest factor of all ?
