A short film on the beginnings of Hilda Hidalgo’s work, Sacramento is also a film about her character’s return to her roots – a young women whom she herself plays. She leaves behind her ebbing dreams and memories to reconnect with a distant part of herself. This lyrical and poetic film, sensual and sensitive like the caress of water on one’s skin, could also hold a very personal definition of cinema as a means of recomposing and bringing to life one’s paradise lost.
