At the beginning of the 20th century, a young man from Mendoza goes to Buenos Aires to study at university. He meets an older woman and falls in love with her. The woman has outraged the whole city by posing naked for a sculptor and parading with many lovers. Meanwhile the young man gets engaged with the daughter of a prominent lawyer. As he is about to get married, he suddenly refuses to compromise and leaves to look for his first love. Unfortunately, the woman has left the house they used to share and gone with one of her lovers.
