Swayamvaram is the journey of a man, Viswam, and a woman, Sita, to live their lives and direct their destinies as they wish. Their ecstasies, disagreements, occupations, discouragements, encounters with the amalgam of lawless harshness and dregs of contemporary society and their final downfall form the soul of the film. Swayamvaram is an attempt to understand these conflicts through image and sound.
