Four rebellious girls from broken families, living in the notorious town of Tuen Mun, are forgotten by family, school and society. Their days are spent playing truant, shoplifting, hanging out at karaoke bars, messing with relationships, getting stoned, self-mutilating and smuggling.
Spacked Out is a delicate but uncompromising exploration of the daily life of four adolescent girls from Hong Kong. Dreams, illusions, doubts, friendships : the film seeks to paint a realistic portrait of a young generation that, although equipped with cell phones, feels cut off and exiled from the world around.
